Orchidleaf stared at the bright blue sky as the clouds drifted by. She laid down on her mossy nest, turning her violet gaze toward the entrance to camp. The dawn patrol will be back soon. Orchidleaf meowed to herself. She arose to her paws and shook the scraps of moss from her black patched pelt. I might as well gather herbs while they're still fresh. She reminded herself.
She dug through the herbs she had already scavanged a few sunrises ago and spread them neatly onto the ground. She prodded the leaves with her paws, feeling one crack beneath it. It must be old. She thought before discarding the broken, crumbly leaf. She scented each leaf and berry, making sure they smelled fresh, and the ones that didn't were thrown away somewhere. Orchidleaf finally sat back and washed her paws in the moist stram that trickled inside the den. "I might as well gather herbs." She mumbled to herself before padding out of the camp.
