1. There shall always be six Clans.
2. All Clans have set borders.
3. Boundaries must be checked weekly.
4. Prey may not be stolen from another Clan’s territory.
5. Prey is killed only to be eaten, not played with.
6. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Apprentices may not eat without permission until they have hunted for the elders.
7. Clans should help one another in times of great need.
8. Killing in cold blood is forbidden, and mercy should be shown to those who ask for help.
9. Trespassing on another Clan’s territory is forbidden, unless absolutely necessary.
10. Cats from different clans should not fall in love, mate, or have kits
[glow=red,2,300]11. However, if the love is completely and undoubtedly true, the cats in love must speak with their Clan leaders. If the Clan leaders agree, one of the following may happen:
o The tom may join the she-cat’s Clan
o The tom may stay with the she-cat’s Clan until the kits are made warriors
o They may both stay with their own Clans[/glow]12. Half-Clan kits belong to their mother’s Clan unless the mother dies, in which case the kits may either be kept by their mother’s Clan, or may be brought to their father’s Clan.
13. Gatherings shall be held in the Great Valley on the night when the moon is at its fullest. The truce lasts while the moon is full, and fighting at Gatherings is prohibited.
14. Cats have free passage to the Brightstones.
15. A cat must not eat prior to speaking to Oblivion or Comatose.
16. The Clan must be fed first, before any individual warrior.
17. The Clan’s safety must come first. It is more important that the safety of any individual.
18. A new leader should journey to the Brightstones within three sunrises of being made leader, to receive their nine lives and leader name.
19. The deputy becomes Clan leader when the leader dies.
20. A new deputy must be elected by six moonrises from the night of the former deputy’s death or resignation.
21. A cat must have had at least one apprentice to be made deputy. A cat may not be nursing or pregnant when elected deputy.
22. Queens with kits between newborn and five moons and 29 days may not be elected deputy.
23. If the kits are over six moons and apprenticed, they can be deputy.
24. If a female deputy has kits, a temporary deputy shall be chosen to fill in until the kits are apprenticed.
25. If a female leader has kits, the deputy shall fill in for the leader until the kits are apprenticed.
26. Kits may not hunt and leave camp, unless accompanied by warriors with the leader's permission.
27. Kits shall be apprenticed at six moons of age, no earlier, and only later if sickness or injury delays the apprenticeship.
28. It is the duty of the apprentices to care for the elders.
29. Apprenticeships usually take from six to eight moons.
30. Apprentices must make at least one journey to the Brightstones and have attended at least one Gathering before they can be made warriors.
31. New warriors must sit a silent vigil the night they are made warriors.
32. A cat can have no more than one apprentice at a time, but may help train another cat’s apprentice.
33. Medicine cat apprentices can only be made medicine cats once their mentor feels they know all the herbs and their uses, know all the sicknesses and treatments, and have had at least one dream from Oblivion or Comatose
34. A Clan should have no more than two medicine cats at a time.
35. Medicine cats may not fall in love, mate, or have kits.
36. It is the choice of the warrior as to when they retire as an elder.
37. Deputies may retire, leaders may not. Only under special circumstances may medicine cats retire.
38. Leaders, deputies, medicine cats, and elders are to be treated respectfully.
39. Clan tradition and the Warrior Code are to be respected and followed.
40. Appropriate punishment shall be dealt out to those who disobey orders or the Warrior Code.
