Southwind padded slowly out of the warriors' den, yawning as the morning sun hit her face. After a long day of hunting through FireClan's territory all alone, it had been nice to get some rest, but the thought of sleep was now long gone from the deputy's mind. Since for now there were no kits to feed, just her and her leader, the white she-cat chose a nice mouse from the fresh-kill pile and settled down in the warm Greenleaf sun to have some breakfast. If Bloodstar didn't need her to do anything too time-consuming, Southwind planned to fix up some of the details of her Clans' camp, such as adding more moss to the nursery nests and cleaning up the accumulating leaf debris.
No, she didn't really wish for apprentices to do this for her, Southwind enjoyed doing things for herself. As long as she was helping her Clan, she didn't care what she was doing. Though... she had to admit she was kind of lonely. As her green eyes wandered around the camp, Southwind found none of the signs of a full, safe camp: no dusty pawprints, mews of excitement from the nursery as apprentices showed off their newly-learned moves to appreciative kits, warriors chatting as they awaited their instructions for the day, elders grumbling about "too much warmth". FireClan seemed rather empty, but Southwind never gave up hope. Once FireClan had been great, but they had never really recovered from the devastasting WindClan attack of her early warriorship. But there were no worries about that, not really, because this was FireClan, the best Clan there was! The deputy smiled as she finished her meal and waited to see if Bloodstar had any work for her this warm morning.

Eye twitching in my sleep, I rolled over in my den. I hit the wall with a dull thud, my ears twitching. I could tell it was morning in the clan from the birds twittering annoyingly. My face was pressed up against the rocky walls as I rolled away from it. My den was quite big from the inside and I stood up my ears about a few mouselengths from the top of the cave. From the outside, which wasn't always the nicest place to be, especially in this heat, it looked like nothing but rocks. I eyed the many drawings that I had carved in the rocks, the jagged cuts from my claws.
FireClan was empty at this moment, my deputy was somewhere...I really do need to keep track of things...
Padding forward and sleepily running into another wall, I grumbled annoyed. My black fur rippled slightly as I shook myself out. Moss flew out from my fur as I sighed. Walking through the maze of rocks, I entered the outside sun and froze. Closing my eyes tightly, I muttered a 'Ow, dang light.' as I quickly adjusted to the light that filtered through the trees.
Padding out into the bright sunlight, I eyed over the camp, slowly looking at everything. My deputy was in the camp, and eating. My tail flicked as I wondered when we were going to get rowdy kits...
"Hello Southwind." I called as I leaped down from the pile of rocks. After almost landing on my face, I padded over to join my deputy. "How ya doin?"

Southwind looked up as she heard pawsteps behind her, just in time to see Bloodstar jump down towards her, nearly landing on her face. She did seem to have balance problems, didn't she? But the white deputy put that thought away for some other time, and meowed, "Morning Bloodstar! I'm fine, warm though, isn't it? Anything you need me to do?"
Out of respect, the green-eyed she-cat picked up a sparrow from the fresh-kill pile and offered it to Bloodstar. She continued to eat while waiting for her leader's response, but inside her black paws itched to be racing through FireClan's territory, serving her Clan like she always had and always would.

I flicked my ears and smiled at my deputy, "Nya...Nya..." I replied grinning. It was a term that I used a lot, as my times on the street had given me. It means, Meow, in some foreign language, but it was fun to say. I grinned, "Calm down, enjoy the overbearing heat, and sleepy time fun." I laughed.
In my opinion she was always ready for the next thing to do, and I liked that about her. "Well prey is running good, and we always have a good amount of stuff to do...I say a patrol, is in order...maybe the Blue Waters? StreamClan hates the heat, and would be less likely to move against the border, but who knows, nyaaa?" I drawled the last part and smiled appreciatively to my Deputy. "Thank you, Southwind." I meowed as she offered me a sparrow.
I knew that the Deputy liked to run around FireClan, and I smiled. "Nya...I would say a hunting patrol as well, soon. Runnin' around would be fun right?"

Southwind rasped her tongue over her pelt a few times, then laughed and got to her paws. "I'm up for anything, anytime, anywhere, Bloodstar! You wanna come with me, or would you rather go on enjoying the 'overbearing heat and sleepy time fun'?" The white she-cat agreed with her leader's opinion, StreamClan would be hiding inside on a day like today. And of course, running was the she-cat's favorite thing to do, no matter where to or why, as long as the wind was rushing through her fur, everything was good.
((gotta go, but i'm still alive! sorry for disappearing!))

I grinned as she started to talk. "Nya!? Do I look like an elder?" I asked playfully. "Of course I'm comin with ya Nya!" I finished the sparrow easily burying it on the edge of camp. I smirked, towards the direction of StreamClan. Watery cats were slippery creatures to be sure. Gazing my bright red eyes upon my deputy I grinned widely.
"To the overbearing heat of a border!" I called before running off with a resounding "WAHOOOOOOOO!" As I tore through the territory. It was always my favorite thing to do, and I wondered if my deputy got annoyed with my constant insaneness....Oh well....OH MY COMATOSE IT'S A BUTTERFLY, crap tree....aw man...lost sight of the butterfly.
