Raynekit stopped in her grooming to gaze longingly at the night sky. She searched for any sort of comfort, for a helping signal that everything was going to be alright. She had never felt so alone. She hadn't met any of the ShadowClan cats yet, other than the mystical Lunastar, who seemed nice enough. But she had heard whispers of this strange clan. Cold-hearted, killers, she shivered as the thoughts swarmed in her head. But she knew that here she would receive the alone time she needed desperatly. Raynekit hoped that her choice would pay off, and the cats here were friendly. She had scented other kits, at least one. She wondered what he was like. She sighed, then layed down, glancing back up at the sky. The stars twinkled bodly, startling white against the midnight sky. She knew that every one of those bright lights were the fallen warriors of the past. Were her mother and sister up there? Were they watching her?

Brokenkit glomped about the nursery, his eyes widening as a new kit's scent filled his nose. "New friends! New friends!" The small dark gray tom shouted, prancing around. He leaped towards her, smiling and fell before her feet, almost worshipingly. "What's goin on," he muttered, grinning like an idiot. He wondered what she was doing here and what made her decide to come to ShadowClan. He knew why he'd come here... His father had made him.... He said it was the best place to survive without being watched. He'd never met his mother either and missed her scent dearly. It clung to his internal memory. Brokenkit would know her if she was within a few foxlengths of him.
