A black and white she-cat stared at the horizon. It had been one full day since her arrival at Shadowclan. The young loner could remember it as if it were yesterday. Well....It was. She smiled to herself. It had been a busy day meeting all of her fellow clanmates. Though she never lived with cats that she didn't know before, the experience was delightful. In a couple moons Luna would fully trust her fellow clanmates. In due time of course. The young loner was excited to finally know that she belonged and she was home. Luna was a mother and naturally worried for her babies. They'd be fine..... If she took them on her trip they might as well slowed her down. It was her natural instinct to leave them at this time anyways. She WAS a loner. Maybe she left a little too early. Luna decided to stop worrying. They were as tough as their father,
Scout. Except poor little Saylem. He'd be safe with his brothers until he toughened up.
Luna walked into the empty leader's den where she slept the night before. Some of her clanmates seemed skeptical when they found her there but relaxed. They even let her sleep there tonight. How sweet of them. She guessed that they understood how being a loner made her less happy near people. loner is just ALONE without the A and an added r at the end. Basically alone. The cat's warrior coded was confusing and she really didn't warm up to the idea. Luna was used to freedom and this weird guideline barely gave her any. How could these psychotic cats handle it?! They had to be raised into this strange slavery. Well, some day she'd feel better about it. Just not at the moment. Luna was tired and wanted to stop thinking of all this new stuff she learned today. The best way to do that was to sleep. The loner walked to her temporary bed that was about to become permanent...
A cloudy mist surrounded the long furred she cat and a strange shadowy figure popped out of the fog in the distance and was slowly walking towards her. A familiar scent filled her nostrils. She was sure that she smelled it before. Soon the figure's shadowy coat lifted and there stood a face that she recognized. " Bluestar?!" Luna said terrified in her shrill voice. The mysterious cat nodded. Bluestar was the cat that brought luna to Shadowclan. Was there another thing that she wanted to tell her? It was so very very confusing. The whole situation was like a repeat of her previous dream with the cat before her.
"Welcome Luna to Shadowclan......" The gorgeous cat said with a soft floral voice. Her blue-gray coat shimmered in the thick fog. " I'm sorry to say that I'm not through with you...." Luna gasped and looked around desperately for a hope to find out what else Bluestar wanted. What else did she have to do for this cat?! Bluestar read the look on the loner's face and laughed. It's not a HUGE task but still important," Luna looked relieved but stared back to the cat to see what else she had to say. " Luna dearest, You are destined to be the leader of this clan," The loner gasped once more. She couldn't do that!!!! Bluestar's blue eyes stared into her yellow ones. Luna was determined not to blink. after what seemed like decades she turned away. There was no other option. " You must go to the cave we first met in, and touch your nose to the dazzling rocks. There is where you will be named leader of shadowclan.
Luna woke with a start. There was no longer any fog and bluestar and her scent vanished. It was just another dream. The she cat knew what she had to do..... the to be leader walked outside and lifted her yellow eyes to the luna. It was a gorgeous shade of gray. Beyond a dry moor, there was a cave. That was where she had to go. The journey was not long and definitely as scary as she thought it would be. What kind of life changing journey was that?! Luna pushed it from her mind and walked into the cave. Now THIS was a real life changing moment. After a long walk through the cave, A group of shimmering stones nearly blinded her amber eyes. Slowly and dramatically she touched her nose to the stone and instantly fell to the floor, asleep. Soon oblivion would gift her with nine lives....
