Orchidleaf opened her mouth and scented the area. She had just been excepted in FireClan and was enjoying every bit of it. She twitched her whiskers. The sun was hot here, burning her black and white pelt. It didn't bother her much though. Besides being hot, it was also bright here. Orchidleaf smelled other cats in the clearing. It was faint, maybe a day or two old. I wonder where everyone is. She thought to herself, flicking her tail. She rasped her tongue over her small pads and shook the leaves from her pelt. The warm air swept through her black patched fur. Orchidleaf turned her sightless violet gaze toward a den smelling of herbs, which she assumed was where she would stay. She was the medicine cat after all. I hope I get to meet the other cats soon. She meowed to herself.
Orchidleaf sat on her haunches in the clearing, bored out of her mind. She batted her paw at a nearby stick and sighed. She hear a rumble from her stomach and felt her face flush crimson. No one was here anyway. She refused to grab anything from the fresh-kill pile, even though the warm, juicy scents made her mouth water. Other cats had done the work so the other cats would eat it, though the tempting smell still hung in the air.

Today was so boring, as it normally was. I wanted to yawn and lay in the sun like a elder, but I was leader...and I would do it anyways! My red eyes glanced around the territory, picking up the rabbit that I had killed and made my way back to camp. Nya....It is so hot out today. I tolerated the heat great, even with my black pelt. It really wasn't as hot as some places I've been. Running really did cool you down more so than, just sitting in the shade. I wondered what I was going to do with this inactive clan. I sighed feeling the white dusty pelt of the rabbit in my jaws. It tasted faintly of the grass but mostly...well...like rabbit. I closed my eyes and chuckled at myself as I was almost back into camp. I didn't know where Southwind disappeared to, but I knew that the deputy was somewhere. Shrugging carelessly, I made myself show into the entrance of the clearing.
Raising an eyebrow at the black and white cat in the clearing, I remember that I actually had a medicine cat, and glared up at the sky, for not reminding me on a daily basis. Sighing quietly past the rabbit, I walked into camp, my head held high. Was she hungry? I padded closer and dropped the rabbit in front of her. "Hello Orchidleaf, how ya doin, nyaaaa?" I asked curiously. "Is everything going okay for you?"

Orchidleaf sat in the clearing, grooming her black patched fur. She shook her head and sighed. Everyone must be out hunting. She thought. Well, everyone being two cats! She purred in her mind. The leader and deputy, Bloodstar and Southwind was it? Orchidleaf couldn't quite remember. THe warm air seemed to die down a bit, and Orchidleaf assumed it was getting later. Sunset maybe? Orchidleaf gave a frustrated hiss. I hate being blind!
Orchidleaf twitched her whiskers as a new scent caught her attention. She turned her head in the direction of the cat. She didn't like to appear blind, so she always kept her blue-violet eyes where the smell was. "Hello, and you're Bloodstar, right?" She meowed, flicking her tail. Orchidleaf smiled at the she-cat. She opened her mouth slightly and smelled rabbit right in front of her. It also smelled like her leader's scent. She must have given it to me. She realized. "Thank you." She meowed, biting a mouthful up. "Umm...What does nyaaaa mean?" She asked as politely as she could. She was curious but didn't want to sound rude.

It was getting later, but not too late, actually it was late sunhigh. I wonder if my den was getting cooler. It got hot during the day, making my black and red pelt steam. I always smelt of burnt fire, and I didn't know if that was just my unique thing, since Comatose said it was. I shook my head and looked at the stream of water that flowed around everything. It was a hot day so I shrugged quickly. Casting a glance to my Medicine Cat, I wondered what it was like to be a Medicine Cat, but I shivered. I hated being peaceful. I liked to fight when there was a reason, and there was no point, since we had no clan allies. Shrugging carefully I walked over to the smal stream. It was about a fox deep, and two foxes wide. I dunked myself in, feeling the chilly water cool my red cuffed black fur off. I momentairly wondered if Orchidleaf wanted to swim, but I didn't know if that was something Medicine Cats didn't do. Swimming closer to the edge, feeling my black paws touch the rocks below, I heard her speak. I pouted slightly, I really do have a short attention span, as I leaped out of the water, droplets and small strings of water fell onto the dusty ground, staining it temorarily to a different color.
"Nyaaa, I'm Bloodstar. Nice to meet you. I haven't really met ya before." I admitted, since the calmness of the Medicine Cats had always freaked me out. How could anyone handle grumpy and sick cats all moon!? I looked at her with glowing red eyes and I cocked my head. "Oh, Nya, nyan, and some other things I say are variables of twolegs that don't really roam the island anymore. It was a different version of their language. It means Meow." I laughed lightly, finding her question quite normal. Not many people knew what I meant. "Is the rabbit good?"

Orchidleaf watched the she-cat hop into the water, something she'd like to do on a day as hot as this. She could have sworn her fur was singed, baking in the heat. She touched the tip of her tail to her back just to make sure it wasn't on fire. It wasn't, but boy, was it hot! Orchidleaf turned her blue-violet eyes back to the dusty white rabbit in front of her as Bloodstar mentioned it. "Good." She meowed, swallowed up in her own thoughts. When you can't see things, it's always fun to imagine what they look like. Even though they're usually way off. She hadn't been blind all of her life, so the rabbit was imiediatly a dusty white or brown to her, depending on her mood.
She turned her attention back to her leader's scent as she continued talking. "Interesting." She meowed. Orchidleaf had never seen a twoleg before, so they were always a mystery to her. Fascinating actually. Orchidleaf wondered how 'nyaaa' was supposed to be 'meow', but kept it to herself. She took another bite of rabbit and chewed thoughtfully. She shook her head and flicked her tail. I've got to stop thinking so much! She purred to herself.
Soon, the heat became overbearing and Orchidleaf padded in the direction of the churning water. She just waded in, the water soaking her belly fur. Finally! She meowed to herself, feeling some of the heat wash away in the bubbling stream. She turned her sightless eyes back on Bloodstar. She seemed really nice. I think I'll like this clan. Orchidleaf purred to herself.

Oh, this was going to be awkward if we ran out of things to talk about. Flicking my tail nervously, I stared at the Medicine Cat. She seemed quite nice and even Comatose said that she liked her. I wondered if Comatose was going to show up randomly. She did that, saying she's looking over her favorite clan. Shaking my head from my thoughts, I tried to get to know Orchidleaf more. "What's your favorite fresh-kill?" I asked curiously. I was going to ask her favorite color, but I didn't know if she had been born blind or it was a accident. I shook my head once more, small droplets falling on the ground again. "I would really like ta get to know ya' better." I said honestly. I had a feeling she was a great cat. I drew my tail over the ground, feeling a slight twinge of a tangle. My long tail flicked and easily rose over my muzzle and I bit the tangle out quickly.
I moved it behind me once more, as I turned back to go in the water. Splashing like a kit would, I dunked myself competely underwater, feeling the cool grasp of the water on my fur. Twirling I shot back up, gasping air back into my lungs. I saw Orchidleaf join me. I smiled quickly and swam over to her. "It's really nice here, and I hope you enjoy it." I grinned. "The stream starts quite shallow from the dens to the deeper part of it which is a little bit behind me. Until then, it's about a cat deep. It really keeps everyone cool, and since there is a lot of space, everyone in the clan can go for a swim." I explained. "I know that if someone breaks their leg, swimming can help," I blushed slightly, knowing my medical knowledge was less than none. I really knew just how to stop bleeding and some small herbs like marigold and poppy seeds. "I saw it work back where I came from, and it seemed to help, have you heard of something like that?"

Southwind padded back into FireClan's camp, set down her two pigeons, and suddenly caught a new scent. Looking around, the deputy saw Bloodstar speaking with a black-and-white she-cat with beautiful blueish-purple eyes. Padding over to join them, Southwind greeted her new Clanmate with a happy meow. "Welcome to FireClan! I'm Southwind, Bloodstar's deputy. Isn't it such a great day?" The white she-cat stretched, flicking her tail contentedly as she returned to a sitting position. Having heard Bloodstar mention some herbs, Southwind supposed she was their new medicine cat.
Turning to face her leader, Southwind noticed Bloodstar was swimming in the stream, her black fur quite wet. Southwind had never really been into getting wet, even the rain bugged her, so she remained on nice, dry ground, occasionally dabbing her paws in the cool water to relieve their soreness. After spending half the day hunting, the only things she'd caught were two birds. It just didn't seem to be her day. Sighing, Southwind wished for a breeze to cool her fur a bit. Even to FireClan, today was HOT. Maybe I could join them? she wondered, then got up and cautiously entered the stream until it lapped over her legs. Getting one of her usual hyper-like ideas, Southwind gathered her paws beneath her, then launched herself into the air, coming down into the deeper water with a great SPLASH! She went completely underwater. Semi-freaked, the deputy shot to the surface and simply paddled her black paws around until she was sufficiently cool, then pulled herself out of the stream and settled down to dry comfortably, occasionally adding her own thoughts to the conversation.

Orchidleaf twitched her whiskers as walked deeper into the water. The water soothed her and it definitely felt good. Even for a FireClan cat, today seemed hot. She couldn't help putting an odd expression on her face when Bloodstar asked her what her favorite fresh-kill was. She's just being nice! Stop making that face! She hissed to herself. She wiped the expression off instantly and thought a moment. "Maybe mouse, I'm not sure." She meowed. She heard her say she wanted to know her better and Orchidleaf smiled. She kept listening to her leader, not wanting to miss anything. "I've never done it myself, but I heard it works." She mewed. She liked this cat.
Orchidleaf opened her mouth and a new scent hit her scent glands. She turned her head and rested her violet eyes over to the scent. It smelled good;Like FireClan smell. It also smelled of she-cat. Orchidleaf flicked her black-and-white tail curiously. The cat introduced herself as the deputy Southwind. "Hi Southwind, I'm Orchidleaf, the new Medicine cat." She meowed politely, smiling at the deputy. Southwind got into the water with her and Bloodstar a moment but could hear her get out a moment later. She probably doesn't like water much. She meowed. Besides, everyone has something they don't like. Orchidleaf got out of the water and slicked down her fur with her tongue. "So, what do you guys want to talk about?"
