Brokenkit's gray striped black fur streaked quickly through the entrance of the ShadowClan camp, his violet eyes gleaming brightly in the night air. He was fast, and he was clumsy. A dangerous combination. Flicking his tail lazily, the strong and swift kit smiled to himself. This place seems so much better than my old place of living... I hope the leader will be as nice as the last cats I stayed with, he thought, crawling through the undergrowth that sprang up around ShadowClan's territory. His paws raised up as the little cat leaped forwards. As he neared the entrance to the nursery, Brokenkit tumbled forward, rolling over and knocking himself and his head against the walls. "Ugh.....Why am I such a clutz," he complained to himself, raising a paw to hit the wall. "Stupid thing..."
Moving forward, Brokenkit stopped when he smelled the other kits' scent. "Hello? Can I come in," he asked, looking around. His head swiveled to all sides of the room as he attempted to find kits. He didn't see any at the moment and groaned. "Hello?.... Are there any other kits here...? At all," he asked, stepping forward on his own paw and falling face first into the ground. "OBLIVION! WHY DID YOU CURSE ME!?!?!"

Sparrowfeather was rearanging her herbs as she did daily when she saw brokenkit stumbiling around. She shook her head. whats that kit up too now? Sparrowfeather sighed and smiled at the kit. Sparrowfeather looked at her herbs and padded over to Brokenkit. "heh heh, I don't know why your such a klutz but I do know that you shouldn't be wandering around." Sparrowfeather mewed. She licked the ebony kits head. "I know your a kit but still, that doesn't give you permission to wander around aimlessly. I'm not being mean, it's for your saftey Brokenkit." Sparrowfeather mewed sincerely
She sat on her haunches and smiled at the kit. She admired his strength and curiosity, that was normal for a kit. She had always thought of him as one of her own but she knew she was a medicine cat and she had duties for her clan. She licked the black kit one last time and padded back to her den. The sky was just turning blue. It was nearly sunhigh and This was Sparrowfeather's favorite time of day besides twighlight.

Brokenkit's black fur shriveled under the moonlight. The dawn would be approaching shortly, but he didn't care. He wanted to be happy here... He wanted to finally get that clutzy thing in the past and move on to a place where he could be happy. He heard Sparrowfeather's words bounce around his head, the words drifting into his ears. "I know.. I know.." He was muttering, shuffling his paws around in the dust. "But I wanted to look at the moon," he explained, smiling at the medicine cat. His indigo eyes gleamed. He couldn't understand why Sparrowfeather was so nice, yet stern.. He shook his head and took a step forward, smiling. "I'm sorry. Thanks for worrying though." Taking another step forward and falling over. He groaned. "Dang it....."
He lashed his tail in anger as he stood up. "Why can't I be normal?!?! I've never been normal.. I just thought being here would make me... normal.. finally.." His voice was a harsh whisper and wetness rolled down his face. He hated his father... wished he could have been just a regular cat... but no.. no.. he had to be special. He let out a kit-like growl and leaped onto his paws again, not letting that memory control him. "Isn't it pretty tonight," he asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

Sparrowfeather was worried about Brokenkit. "You know Brokenkit, I didn't have such a good kithood either." Sparrowfeather mewed curling her tail over Brokenkit comfurtingly. "When I became a medicine cat apprentice M-." Sparrowfeather stopped and shook her head slightly. She gulped and continued the story. "When I became an apprentice there was a fire that struck shadowclan." Sparrowfeather could feel a lump in her throught. She never liked to tell people this story. "The fire destroyed the whole camp. And when the clan was evacuating we couldn't find my father. When we came back to camp we found everything was burned to dust, and my father and the other elder, and my best friend were dead. They had been badly burned from the fire and I was depressed for at least a year." Sparrowfeather fealt tears dive off her brown face. She sucked her tears up and licked Brokenkit's ear. "The moral of that story is that every cat even in starclan had something happen to them." Sparrowfeather mewed. SParrowfeather shook her pelt and padded off to her den to sleep.

Brokenkit's indigo eyes widened. He was extremely interested in the people of his Clan. Especially the mysterious Frozenmoon and Twilightspirit. Their leader was especially mysterious, with a different type of past. At least that was the impression he received from her. "Really," he asked, raising an eye. He was quite inquisitive as well as a bit grown up for a kit. But it didn't matter. Brokenkit was simply Brokenkit. He was clumsy, though that wasn't a good thing. It always got him in trouble. The dark gray cat sat down, listening to Sparrowfeather's story in awe. "Oh wow! Fires!!" His voice was deep and steady for a kit's normally. This time, it had been slightly shrill. He frowned a bit at the medicine cat, knowing she was having a hard time. I hope she'll be okay... I don't want to bring bad memories into the camp, he thought, flicking his tail hopefully.
His ears were raised and poised to listen. He was always a good listener. It showed respect. He gasped at the thought of his family and friends being burned to death. "Oh Sparrow!! I'm so sorry!" Tears rolled down his face and onto the ground as he got up to press his head against her sympathetically. In doing so, he stepped on his own tail and tripped, landing on his face. "Ouch..." Why can't I just walk PROPERLY?! He got up from the ground and smiled a bit at Sparrowfeather, a gleam in his violet blue eyes. "I know... Is it true that Oblivion and His Sister watch over StarClan themselves?" He was truly curious as to the answer to that question.

Sparrowfeather smiled sympetheticly at Brokenkit. "Don't worry! I'm fine, I got over it a while ago." Sparrowfeather licked his cheek. She smiled when he triped over his tail. She padded over to him and mewed. "Come on Brokenkit, nobody's perfect!" Sparrowfeather lifted the kit back on his feet and padded back over to her den so she could finish her herb sorting. Suddenly she paused. She smirked at Brokenkit. "Hey you wanna hear another story!?" SHe called. Sparrowfeather padded back over to Brokenkit and mewed. "One day I was at the meadow and there were two other medicine cats there in the meadow. There names were Skystripes and Orchidleaf. After a while they became my best friends. Then Skystripes foound a baby deer. we took it back to the abandoned twoleg shelter and the father deer came. Me and skystripes were defending the baby deer becuase we were scared of it hurting the baby deer. Orchidleaf was the closest to the baby and the father scratched her eye blind. She's the fireclan medicine cat." Sparrowfgeather mewed. "Well I'm gunna go back to sorting herbs. Tell meif you want me to tell another story." Sparrowfeather mewed padding toward her den. "Oh yeah and yes I think Oblivion watches Starclan. Sparrowfeather mewed quickly.

Brokenkit's eyes sparkled as he looked up at Sparrowfeather. The ShadowClan medicine cat was so amazing. His tail landed softly against the marshy ground of ShadowClan's camp. "Good. I'm glad," he mewed happily, blushing slightly as she licked his cheek. It made him feel highly small.... Why am I so small anyways, he asked himself, groaning softly.Picking himself up from his fall, Brokenkit grinned, trying to shrug off the clumsy self he was. "Thanks Sparrow... But I doubt if I'll EVER grow out of this phase," he muttered to himself mostly, shuffling his paws back and forth. He laughed, hearing the enthusiasm in Sparrowfeather's voice. It was as if it was meant to cheer him up. Well that's nice. He felt himself brighten up, dark gray pelt shining under moonlight flashing from outside the ShadowClan nursery.
"Sure! Lay it on me!!" His voice got slightly squeaky and he loved listening to the stories of older cats. He listened in awe. "A real DEER?! Oh StarClan!! That's amazing! Is she okay though," he asked, looking around and squinting a bit. "Oh. Okay Sparrowfeather! Thanks for talking with me!"
